Scheels Hunting Expo

On August 26, 2016 starting at noon, head over to 4710 Golf Road in Eau Claire for the Scheels Hunting Expo. The expo is sponsored by Federal Ammunition and you’ll be able to visit with archery and hunting vendors that are offering special pricing for the expo only. Learn about the newest tips and tricks, enjoy a dock dog jumping competition sponsored by Garmin and let your kids learn how to safely shoot at the Tippmann Paintball Range and the Daisy Red Ryder BB Gun Range. When you register, you’ll be eligible to win prizes from several places including Under Armour, Absolute Outdoors and more.

Wisconsin Concealed Carry Class

On August 27, 2016 at 10:00 a.m., head over to American Inn, 6200 Texaco Drive in Eau Claire for the Wisconsin Concealed Carry Class. The class runs until 1:00 p.m. The class gives you everything you need to qualify for a Wisconsin concealed carry permit. The class is $99 and range time is not required. You’ll need to bring your pre-registration ticket or receipt, a state-issued photo ID and something to take notes with. Do not bring your weapon. You’ll learn how to load, unload, store and carry a concealed weapon, the current laws for self defense and use of deadly force, how to transport and conceal your weapon, pistol operation and more. You must be 21 years old to attend the class.

Eau Claire Big Rig Truck Show

From August 19 through August 21, 2016, head over to the Chippewa Valley Technical College, 620 W. Clairemont Avenue in Eau Claire for the Big Rig Truck Show. Enjoy looking at the trucks, vendors and more at this automotive industry premier event. If you need to book a stall, visit

Eaux Claires

On August 12 and 13, 2016, head over to Eaux Claires Festival Grounds at Foster Farms, 535 Balcom Street in Eau Claire for this festival.
